Triplex was a European sportswear brand that circulated across the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe throughout the 1980s and 90s. This jacket was produced in Bulgaria — a country whose textile manufacturing of the era is well regarded among collectors for its robust quality and durability. Bulgaria served as a trusted production partner for numerous European sportswear brands during this period, and the construction quality of this jacket is immediately apparent.

The material — a blend of 56% polyamide and 44% triacetate — gives the jacket its characteristic smooth, slightly lustrous feel, typical of premium late-80s European sportswear. The chest features a bold Triple X / Triplex design logo in classic geometric style. The V-line colourblock construction across the chest and sleeves is a textbook example of the era’s most desirable panel design.
