The Vector Era — When Reebok Went All-In

From its founding, Reebok used the Union Jack as its logo. In 1986, the brand introduced a bold new identity: the abstract Vector logo, representing a speed stripe sweeping across a race track.

By the mid-1990s (1994–1996), the Vector had become the absolute centrepiece of Reebok’s apparel design. The brand abandoned small, subtle chest logos entirely and began integrating the Vector into the geometric panel construction of the garment itself. Logos extended dynamically from the sides, underarms, and sleeves — creating an aggressive, high-energy 90s silhouette that stood out instantly on the athletics track and on the street.

This jacket is a textbook example of that design philosophy: the Vector is not printed on the jacket — it is the jacket.
